Star Wars: The Old Republic Website Sith Warrior Trailer

The Star Wars: The Old Republic Website has a new trailer showing off Sith Warrior character progression in the Star Wars MMORPG in the works at BioWare. Word is: "Take a look at this Sith Warrior as he develops and amasses power in The Old Republic™. While there are many paths to choose from, this example gives you a small glimpse of the armor and abilities a Sith Warrior can claim as he pursues his own destiny." The site also offers a developer blog on the game's user interface.

this is an MMO. If you could kill enemies with one lightsaber hit, there would be no point in choosing any of the other classes or even leveling up. If people don't see their stats going up, they aren't going to pay a monthly fee.

Exactly this. This is why I feel any kind of Star Wars Land of Jedi is a horrible type of game to make into an MMOG. Lightsabers are supposed to one-hit-maim/kill mostly everything. But you can't do that in an MMOG. Bad premise. So you have thousands of Jedi/Sith questing all over the galaxy status-quo scratching down 10 rats with glowing swords? Blech.

I wish some new Jedi Knight games would ever get made. You can be the single player hero jedi and it makes sense.

Starwars has never been a blood and guts fest, i really dont know what people where expecting or how they got the expectation in the first place.

I played a samurai game that had this but people dont have the patience.

Bushido Blade was awesome. But that was a 1v1 fighting game, whereas this is an MMO. If you could kill enemies with one lightsaber hit, there would be no point in choosing any of the other classes or even leveling up. If people don't see their stats going up, they aren't going to pay a monthly fee.

nah doesnt work, one hit one kill games are too unforgiving. I played a samurai game that had this but people dont have the patience. Maybe in a death animation or some such..
Also will this be standard bioware point and click or will you have real control?

I sooo wish for a new Jedi Knight series game

Ya, they are shooting for a teen rating. Since it is Star Wars I can see why, but I do believe they could have added some blood though.
If you were right, I would be agreeing with you.

At so many points in there the enemy being hit should have been torn in two...but they all simply slump down when they run out of hp's...it made more sense in the beginning where that guy was using a stick...based on what happens to them after they are hit the weapon should be a large stick or a club and it should bounce back when it hits...
