According to GLaDOS@Home, computations are now also complete for Cogs, Rush, and AaAaA, so the contributions of five of the 13 games in the potato sack towards an early release of Portal 2 are now done. As Dr. Rumack once (or twice) said: "We're all counting on you."

I defend honesty, not ignorance. It's that simple in my eyes. If people are fools, that's their issue. People calling Valve liars are idiots at best, libellous at worst.

That's a pretty slippery definition of "honesty" you have there. An important part of being honest is telling the complete truth, not just the convenient parts of it. For example, if Valve had stated "If players put 5000 hours total into the Potato Sack games, we will unlock Portal 2 on Steam at midnight Tuesday," that would be honest.

Valve may not have been lying when they said that players could unlock Portal 2 early but they were definitely being misleading by failing to mention that the game could only be unlocked on Tuesday regardless of how many people play the Potato Sack games.

According to your logic, drugs shouldn't need to warn about any potential side-effects. As long as you're honest about the positive effects, why bother mentioning the side-effects? If somebody dies or gets sick because of the drug, that's their problem for being ignorant. They should have known about the side-effects even though we didn't mention them.
