Brink it Sooner

The Bethesda Blog has word that Brink is being released a week sooner than previously planned. Splash Damage's upcoming first-person shooter was last expected on May 17 in North America and May 20 in Europe, and word is: "The game will now release on May 10th in North America and May 13th in Europe," with Bethesda's Pete Hines explaining that this is simply because production on the game wrapped up a week earlier than expected. The game was originally announced with a spring 2010 release window which was later changed to Fall 2010 before the May 2011 release was announced. The Bethesda Blog also notes the Brink Facebook Page has a new ability preview of the game.

It's from the Wolf:ET devs which is why it's generating a lot of buzz. They know how to build well balanced MP shooters and have great mappers on staff.
But didn't these guys also make Quake Wars:ET? Which was considered somewhat of a dud.

Man this game is generating quite a bit of buzz. Im not getting sucked up into that shit though, no way. There is no guarantee that this game is really any good, once people start digging deeper into the gameplay we will start to see whether we are finally getting a great MP shooter or a dud.

Ill hang back and wait for the release and then see how the people like it.

Woohoo!

I hate pre-order exclusive stuff, especially when there are multiple options. Despite this, I'm seriously considering a second pre-order just because I want all the unique weapons.
There's often ways to acquire them.

Wow this is doom 3 engine? Didn't even realize that, i'm both excited and worried about the whole free running part of it. I'd like to have more freedom in the movements and choosing then to do them, but at the same time the auto system if done right can be really fun.

"Brink will feature Steamworks integration, including Valve Anti-Cheat.[6] Its technology is id Tech 4 with a new rendering framework and improved support for multiple CPU cores.[2]"

My guess is the new rendering framework helps with graphics stuff looking better

A game I want being released sooner than expected? I wonder what the temperature is like in hell right now.
Technically you expected it last year, so I'm sure it's still toasty.

I'm stoked for this game too.
