The Bethesda Blog offers a first screenshot from Prey 2 along with a piece of concept art from the upcoming first-person shooter sequel. Word is: "And in the coming weeks, you can expect more previews, interviews, etc. online. Once that’s all out there, you’ll know more about what (and who) is in the game, and how it all relates to the original game."

And to those who say it has nothing to do with the first game, what are you basing that on? The first was basically just aliens and portals, and this looks like: aliens and maybe no portal but with a bigger scope. Different characters, different setting, different story. The first game ended with a cliffhanger and the second game doesn't pick up where it left off. Instead, it introduces a completely new protagonist who has his own story. They only link between the two games is that the protagonist was on the plane that you see near the beginning of Prey.

Seriously, if portals don't make the cut I won't shed a tear, they didn't do much for the original game anyways.

I'm not a big fan of the fact that this basically has nothing to do with the first game, but I do like the general premise. An open-world shooter set in a gritty sci-fi setting, with parkour mechanics thrown in for good measure. Could be great.

One of the magazines (Game Informer?) had a few shots of the game - it certainly looks like a much different game than the first.
You're a bounty hunter chasing aliens...and fighting other hunters.
