Looks so much like Team Fortress. Interest lessened. What? It doesn't look anything like Team Fortress. For one, the weapons seem to be almost exclusively hitscan-based so combat ultimately boils down to who gets the first hit. In fact, that's the least interesting part of the game to me. I like games that are conducive to dueling, like Quake, Tribes and TF2 to a lesser extent. I like leading my aim, predicting where my opponent will be next and being able to dodge projectiles. The combat in Brink shares much more in common with CoD than TF. |

Yeah, Frij, with the SP campaign you can play with bots or people or alternate back and forth. The campaign can be run again running the "what if" scenarios which changes everything up so there will be a lot to do besides just straight up MP. And don't forget there's 2 sides to that campaign to play.
That aside, I just love the visual style and enviornment. I'm really eager to check out the whole of the ARK. This game is going to rock! |

| Yeah there is no true sniper class although there are scopes and whatnot. Game sounds great, built from the ground up for teamwork over individual hotdogging bullshit that you see in every other MP shooter. |

I was sold when I saw a developer quote that said there will be no one-shot kills.
I can't wait for this game, and I'll have hopefully built myself a new box by the time it arrives. |

As far as I know:
It's 8v8 (I think, something close to that number at least) You can play:
Campaign Closed (you + 15 bots, playing a campaign, nobody can join unless you ask them to)
Campaign Open (You + 15 bots, anyone can join both sides, if host's side loses the map, it restarts on same map...if he/she wins, it continues)
And I think there's individual maps you can play, probably with different modes.
The bots are supposedly pretty good, and it looks like it.
You can level up however you want. Solo, with friends (probably on the same side?), or in a full-on MP game.
I'm probably missing much more info, but I didn't want to overhype the game for myself, despite that I'm sure it's going to kick complete ass. |

| I read yesterday that the single player portion of this game is just the multiplayer maps with bots. I haven't followed the game much. Can anyone confirm that or shed some light on the single player portion? |
