Portal 2 "Bot Trust" Trailer

The second of Valve's four planned "investment opportunity" videos from Portal 2 offers another look at the upcoming fist-person puzzle game sequel that's due next month. The new Bot Trust trailer demonstrates the leaps of faith the game's robotic co-op protagonists must make in order to succeed. As before, the clip is narrated by Aperture Science CEO Cave Johnson. Here's the embedded clip.

No, split screen is not as good as lan play, but it certainly is more convenient.

Quality > convenience. That's the whole point of PC gaming.

If the ps3 version has split-screen coop that's a definite reason that that version is better. No, split screen is not as good as lan play, but it certainly is more convenient.

I don't know why anyone would prefer any console version to the PC..
No matter the cost, you can count on being able to enjoy endless hours of comunity made maps on PC like it happened with Portal 1...

In this case you get both, so why buy the PC-only version if the PS3 version grants you both?

And Valve already announced that they'll share new content for free and that user generated content will also work on consoles.

I was just watching PATV and saw an ad for a special roll cage skin for pre-orders at GameStop.

Don't remember seeing that posted. It looks pretty terrible too.

Almost seems like a punishment for buying from GameStop

Thinking I will finally give Alpha Protocol a whirl

About time. Alpha Protocol was very underrated. It may have the best implementation of choice and consequence I've seen in any RPG. Almost every choice you make has some kind of tangible impact on gameplay later in the game. It also helps that most of the choices are ambiguous with equally viable options.

I recommend playing it as a stealth character, since the stealth mechanics are handled better than the combat mechanics.

I went with a retail copy from Amazon. With prime, it's release day delivery, 10% off, and a $20 game credit...
One more week for Tron on Blu-Ray! Huzzah!
Thinking I will finally give Alpha Protocol a whirl,

The PS3 version is a good deal, I agree. It is hard to resist. I sympathise.

Why? It's not like Steam will be short of copies. I'd rather not take the risk, however small, that it may blow.

Because I would pick the PS3 version, would be a waste not to do so (in case that you own a PS3 and PC/Mac).

Usually I don't preorder too, that safed me from the Homefront flop for example. But Portal 2 seems so yummy. *sigh*

One word: Preload. And they'd be crazy not to do it.
