its better to hand over control of the internet to a few for profit corporations. Yup, better for political donations from telecom companies.
I'm really surprised companies like Google and MS and Twitter and Facebook aren't doing more to fight this. |

| its not so much as govt controlling peoples lives but only to level the playing field. what kind of innovation would come about if at&t and other telco has their way in restricting what type of traffic goes through their networks. your netflix and skype will cease to exist if they cant give good service on a tiered network. |

I'm sure the FCC needs to control the internet. Yay for more government control. More government is preferable to more evil corporations.

Not a bad article, not a great article. Article could have gave more details about what is in the bill. The title sounds so cool! That is what some politicians do, they give a nice title to a bill and then rip us apart with what is inside. For example, they do not call taxes taxes anymore (some call it an investment). Find the bill and then read it. Then tell me it will keep the internet the same. Let us be honest, just that statement alone sounds like crap. "The internet will stay the same." Well, why do we need a new bill then? More bs!
The fact is some want to silence the other side. They believe in free speech, but only for a select few. If you do not believe me, research the name of this bill down, you will find its roots.
Oh ya, Rush does not control my mind, the facts that he speaks (most of the time) do. I only agree with him. I am alllll grown up and can handle myself, thank you. Now I cannot speak for the people that still believe in Darwin's theories. Because Darwin even said this--->>“Such simple instincts as bees making a beehive could be sufficient to overthrow my whole theory” –Charles Darwin
Not sure where the Darwin thing came from, I think it has to do with someone saying treehugger? Oo lol Well anyways, I really like how blue allows us to speak our mind

Just talk to the average GOP voter and you'll hear how net neutrality is a conspiracy by Barack HUSSEIN Obama to force Texans to marry Muslim goats or something. Whatever the details, they won't make any sense but if you've watched Glen Beck long enough that won't stop you. Aah, spoken like a true tree-hugging, Birkenstock-wearing, whale-saving liberal. Hahaha, I kid. Some of my best friends are whales. |

But the blind hardcore republicans out there are going to wake up to find 40% of the population being poor and corporations owning everything but people themselves if some of these kooks in Washington had their way. In a free market, corporations have a hard time obtaining that sort of a market position and keeping it. When you have a monopoly, it's almost always either a) granted by the government or b) the corporation is using the government to restrict competition. Then again, you do have people that think that being "pro-business" means supporting the businesses you have at present, and not the businesses you could have in the future.
If anything, we should be fostering competition, especially in Internet access... the whole debate about the government trying to enforce "net neutrality" positions largely stems from the fact that government regulations pretty well keep people from having competition. Your DSL provider options are limited by regulation, your cable Internet provider is a government-granted local monopoly... so the government provides more and more regulations to keep trying to fix the problems that they bring upon people. |

Report: DirecTV may offer $30 “premium” VOD movies this summer. 30 to rent a movie!?
F THAT!
2 months after release from theater? Well, then I can find a 5.00 theater that is still playing it if I want to see it THAT bad....which I NEVER do!
