The only GW patch I'll ever be interested in is the one that lets them restore all the stuff I lost when my account got hacked, due to their shitty game account security policies.
Honestly, who thought it was a good idea to tie a game account to an email that can never be changed??
And then they don't even have a means to fix the inevitable losses from accounts being hacked. |

They had sold over 6 million units as of a couple years ago and have a pseudo cash shop peddling vanity and convenience items at hefty prices.
That said, their business model is predicated on shipping paid expansions every 6-8 months and they haven't had one in over 3 years now. |

| I could, and probably will at some point, spend time researching....but does anyone know how Arenanet is making enough money to support GW for free all these years, keep a dedicated team on that game AND develop GW2 for as long as they have? They have other games/projects out there I'm not aware of generating funds? |

| Yeah, the huge patch came out yesterday. It's nice to see them still fiddling with the game. |

Guild Wars has a dedicated live team which isn't involved in GW2 development. Last week they released a total overhaul of the dervish class and the Embark Beach patch is already live (having 7 hero panels open is a little too much).
