DNF: Come Get Some... Credit

Mikey Neumann tweets about a Duke Nukem Forever Credits page on the Gearbox Website, which is where to head to make the case for having your work acknowledged if you or a long-dead relative performed some of the work on Duke Nukem Forever during the upcoming first-person shooter's lengthy development cycle. This is a laudable gesture, as sometimes developers on long-in-development games end up going uncredited.

I'd be OK with a solid 8-10 hours and no saggy bits. 30+ hours of Duke might get a bit much.

That's what she said

If 3D Realms was releasing it... I wouldn't buy it. Period.

But since the scumbags (Scott and moreso George) got their money already from selling the franchise... and Gearbox is releasing it... I'll buy it.

Now... the question will be... how long the game play is. If it is a modern "short" 4-8 hour shooter... I'll wait for the bargain bin. If it's an oldschool 20-30+ hour shooter, then I'll be willing to pay near full price.

Blue should apply, wonder how much time has been spent posting news and writing up blurbs over the nearly 15 years.

Hear, hear!

I, for one, would buy the game if Blue was in the credits.

I wonder if they will include the hookers, dealers and hustlers who happily took all the money that George and 3drealms was supposed to be spending on you know....building the actual game...

I did the rendering of Duke Nukems penis for the toilet scene.
I consider it some of my best work.
You can see all the wrinkles.

Ps did the guy that is working on the Dead Space 2 key remaping die of old age?

Pretty neat.

Wonder if there's any "don't want to be associated with" or "this current build is a disgrace compared to what we had hoped to make" types out there.

edit: They actually have a "press" option on there. Blue should apply, wonder how much time has been spent posting news and writing up blurbs over the nearly 15 years.

They should add the names of everyone that preordered before 2008 or so to the credits...
