And in some cases they've shown that sharing of the stuff increases sales......so maybe piracy didn't get in the way of anything but helped.

Economy in toilet and they are still setting records...and movie ticket prices aren't exactly a bargain considering the conditions you have to put up with the majority of the theaters anymore.

Well, bottom line is piracy DOES affect the numbers. Thats a moot point. The question is by how much.

The data in the Piracy story is not accurate. One simple questions. How can they tell piracy did not effect the numbers? They cannot. Just because they have a record breaking year and up +8% does not mean piracy did not effect the numbers.
