Out of the Blue

The Carmelo Anthony situation has finally shaken out, as the Knicks picked up the superstar forward in a three-team deal that only cost them 80% of their starting lineup (it's no surprise that word is Isaiah Thomas has his fingerprints all over this deal). This should bring a lot of offense to the Garden, as Anthony will score a ton of points, as will whoever he's covering (though it's not like the team played a lot of defense before the trade). There's an old saying about sports trades that you have to give talent to get talent, and while I've always liked Chauncey Billups, losing Raymond Felton hurts, as he has been lights out this season (though it's hard to put a price tag on being able to get rid of the 400 lbs of uselessness that is Eddy Curry). The general consensus seems to be that this does not considerably change the Knicks' short-term prospects, but puts them in position to make a run at another free agent superstar like Chris Paul or Dwight Howard, though this will depend on the NBA's new collective bargaining agreement. We shall see.

Weird to see what people focus on....some of the stuff they focus on is just like "wtf"....off in la la land or something...

I think many people focus on a spot inbetween the actual two points of their attention.

I've always wanted to have one of these trackers hooked up to me while playing CS. I'm sure as the screen gets smaller there is less eye movement to track though.

So you drink margaritas out of beer bottles too?! And here I thought this whole time I was the only one.

Major damage to Christchurch and loss of life, tragic.

They where just starting to get settled after the last one 6 months ago. This is New Zealand biggest disaster, gonna hit the whole of the country very hard. Alot of talk of how people will just choose to leave instead of try to re-build.

Come on Kiwis, we've all got some work to do now to pull this country back to togeather.

Defense has never been the focus in _'Antoni's system anyway, looking forward to seeing the next Knicks games.
Felton has been said to have a statistical outlier half-season and was predicted to revert to his normal form soonish. We'll see how he performs in Denver and whether he'll actually become their starting pg without being familiar with the playbook.
Also wonder how this will affect the western conference playoff roster. Denver is currently in 7th place with both Memphis and Utah just one game behind.
