Battle: Los Angeles Game Plans?

The Australian Classification Database offers an indication that a video game is in the works based on Battle: Los Angeles, a science fiction movie due in March featuring a Marine platoon facing off against an alien invasion in Los Angeles, according to IMDb. The website lists the game under "Computer Games (Multi Platform)" with an MA15+ rating and shows it being published by Konami and developed by Saber Interactive (Will Rock and TimeShift). Yep. Riddick was the exception.

Thing is when BF2142 was announced, everyone hoped "future war" meant humans Vs aliens in a battlefield game model. But that never happened.

Why don't the makers of B:LA get DICE to make BF:LA? Christ, all they need is models and sfx from the movie and use BF3 as a base. It's practically a mod screaming to happen!

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

not a terrible pedigree for a movie game, i actually liked time shift. should have been much better (i remember when the main character was supposed to be voiced by dennis quaid).

still, if the avatar and matrix games couldn't be good, even with active developer support from the movies' directors i don't know if anything can be. chronicles of riddick is firmly in the realm of "statistical anomaly".
