A great band that got an amazing amount out of a simplistic approach. Music at its most basic. Raw, honest, powerful. They didn't need an orchestra of musicians or racks of technology to create terrific songs.
I'm sure that Jack will continue to make music, so this isn't an end as much as a transition. However, I hope Jack doesn't lose sight of what made the White Stripes so good. For me, the Raconteurs don't resonate like the White Stripes did.
