I forgot to mention as part of my gaming pig out post yesterday we also lanned the new 1.5 version of Padman. It's great fun & a big improvement over the the last incarnation. Runs on any old comp & one of the best free FPS out there, lanning it with 3 or more people is a riot. Theres a hot fix to get after the 900meg game.

James Bond. Gets the job done with suave and debonair. Jason Bourne. Gets the job done with skill and wit. Jack Bauer. Gets the job done with punching, kicking, and screaming. John Berry. The fourth JB? Gets the job done with music?

| I just hope this superman is a little more akin to the superman of both the old movies and the comics. I mean in the last one his super strength was a little overboard. Setting down an airplane by it's nose would takes hundreds of thousands of tuns of force simply because of the physics involved. Then he lifted a continent of 'kryptonite' out of the sea with a shard of it stuck in his chest. Now.. any other superman movie even the smallest piece meant he couldn't even move. Yet in the last one he somehow managed to not only move with a shard in his chest but he lifted up a continent sized chunk of it. Sure he 'died' afterwords but it was so preposterous I almost walked out of the theater. |

Heh, I remember the best use of a James Bond theme song in a spoof was on the Tracey Ullman show. It was a sketch where she was divorcing her rich Beverly Hills proctologist husband and breaks into singing Goldfinger. LOL! |

James Bond composer John Barry dies aged 77
That's uncanny... yesterday I had an urge for some Bond, and so I watched "The Living Daylights" - one day before John Barry dies. The last time I watched a Bond film was probably over a year ago.
I still say Dalton's 2 Bond films are underrated. I know everybody hates his Bond, but I've always thought he did a good job.
EDIT: I just read that TLD was the last Bond film John Barry wrote the score for. And that's the one I happened to watch...

James Bond composer John Barry dies aged 77 Man, what a bummer. I loved his score for The Black Hole...
I'm not familiar with Cavil at all, but his face reminds me of a lot of Christopher Reeve. |
