Out of the Blue

Last year took a little getting used to, but this year I am completely in the swing of things in not watching the Pro Bowl the week before the Super Bowl. It occurs to me that I could also honor tradition by TiVoing it, so I can then not watch it the week after the Super Bowl too.

Of course I also said the same of WoW players...

Saturday night for the first time since late 2004 I played an ad hoc MP game with four real life friends at the same time.

I joined a friend in BC2:Vietnam, another joined, and then another!

We've previously had LAN parties and other scheduled "hey let's play * this weekend" but really it's been more than 6 years since we've all had an urge to play the same game at the same time. I guess that speaks pretty highly of BC2:V.

Also I've helped build 3 new gaming PC's in the past 2 months for people who were primarily WoW/Console-CoD. Maybe PC gaming really is on the rebound.

I'm not playing minecraft either (I got most of Howard Roarke out of me with K'Nex some years ago), but seriously, it's getting ridiculous. Like 10 of my TF2/L4D regulars are just marathoning that stupid game night after night. Can't very well play a good round of versus with only six people!

Oh well, I guess the more they play now the faster they'll get it out of their system. Of course I also said the same of WoW players...

I find Zack Snyder's comment a little funny:
In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time, and I am honored to be a part of his return to the big screen. I

So, are they just pretending "Superman Returns" didn't happen?

Though I guess "return to the big screen" can be interpreted as "making a comeback with a series of films, for the first time in 20-some years."

And you will never see me in minecraft.

At least there is one smart gamer left in the world besides me.

I've been having a bit of a gaming pig out lately but I'm not sure this is the forum to talk about it.
Well in short dead space console retarded key assignments suck.
BlackOps co-oped combat mode rocks.
Mafia 2 was well worth it.
And you will never see me in minecraft.

Good luck with your bowls.
My bowls are fine by the way.

Yeah, the PB should definitely be after the SB. And the Black Eye Peas for the halftime show? Puke! Blah!

I'm not thrilled about the Black Eyed Peas either, but at least they're taking a break from the "Bands That Should Have Retired A Quarter Century Ago Half-Time Series."

Also agree that the Pro Bowl should follow the Super Bowl.

Until last year I had always liked the Pro Bowl. I think they have really screwed the pooch by moving it to the week before.

But no one from the Super Bowl will be there.....

I think the PB before the SB is the worst marketing idea ever....

Don't know about not watching the Pro Bowl--never really cared for it. But it will be the first time that I can recall where I will be purposely skipping the Super Bowl's halftime show.
