The prequel novel for this game will be terrifying to you, then. It goes into a lot of detail as to how it happened, and while the actual journey of the main character is a bit off and the writing isn't of the highest quality, the actual concept leading up to the invasion is really well thought-out. They tick all the boxes, in my mind, that would lead to a feasible land invasion of the US.
ROFLMAO! This game is a wet dream for all the right-wing conspiracy kooks. A land invasion and occupying force is something that would never ever happen...ever. I love "what if" scenarios as much as the next guy, but this stretches the imagination beyond anything even remotely possible, so I can't suspend my disbelief and get into it.
actually its quite conceivable.
and u don't need to be a billion strong to do it
cyber attack on networks, followed by a nuclear strike, then followed by an invasion.
could be conceivable done

Not to be a downer here, (or worse, a thread hijacker!!! ) but the problem I have is that the premise for this game feels eerily close to a future I find myself contemplating fearfully from time to time.

I don't think IW ever promised that stuff.
They did.

It's great that they have all these things. It's a shame however, that we all are getting exited about it. For the most part, these PC centric 'bonuses' were once the standard.
In any event, Kudos to KAOS Studios for bringing back - the old school.
Yeah I was blown away by what a good port Monday Night Combat was because it had dedicated servers and all that. Then I realized holy shit, that was the fucking defacto release state just three years ago, it was sacrilege not to include those things.

Wouldn't be surprised if they backtrack on this...
"dedicated server browser executable, LAN support,"
Seems to me, I remember InfinityWard stating they would support mods and map making. Have yet to see either of those.
Can't believe Kaos will be gracious enough to give the few things PC gamers really love.
