Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines Patch

A new community-developed patch is now available for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, bringing the homebrew support for this action/RPG to version 7.3. The unofficial patch is available on its official home at The Patches Scrolls. Here's the change list.

+Moved Yukie temple end trigger and fixed spider chick Boil reaction.
+Corrected a Giovanni candidate quest state and removed entry items.
+Made inspection particles a bit less intrusive, thanks to ZylonBane.
Restored GLOCK to cop on the pier and mafia patrol to Empire hotel.
Corrected conditions for mentioning Rossilini and other text issues.
Fixed problems on approaching Skelter and during the intro walkout.

Why hasn't Activision released the SDK for this yet? The game clearly has a dedicated fanbase that would thrive even more if they had access to an SDK. This, in turn, would extend the longevity of that fanbase and provide a foundation for any additional games in the franchise.

So when is everything that can possibly be fixed, be fixed?

Technically... never. There are some things they just can't fix with the editors.

However, there is a "Revival Project" that is supposed to convert the whole game to a newer version of the Source Engine (Like The Black Mesa Project)... probably gonna take as long to fucking port, too.

I recall seeing it on sale somewhere for $9.99 in Nov or Dec.

Mind elaborating? I can help.

I just downloaded VTMB2010.......had no problems in the tutorial.

Please report any problems, we are very actively testing each patch release and not aware of any Tutorial bugs in 7.2. As a tester I personally only have some issue with some of the repetitive and non Malkavian dialog lines for the Malkavian in the tutorial, but most people don't notice.

Actually anyone playing this we need some feed back on Nadia, the hot Giovanni girl who wants to get naked in the Embalming Room. Just as a test, once you enter the Manson SAVE YOUR GAME, so you can come back here and start your normal play (this should only take you 5 mintues to test)

Head strait to Nadia let her take you somewhere more private. You will zone to the Embalming room, what we need to do.

Don't talk to her or try to open the door downstairs. Walk around the room a bit, maybe pick up your book. This is the important part do you notice yourself going in and out of Combat mode?

There seems to be Zombies spawning too soon AND they seem to see through the floor a level or two below you. If you are having problems it would be a great if you could post it in the official thread. I would check back here but in the 30 hour game, it would be difficult to keep finding this thread, days and weeks from now.

Thanks for any help.

The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.

Why won't this obscure, vampire themed action/RPG just die already??!!

I don't know why some people encounter bugs while others do not. I bought the game at release and played through twice with no major or from what I remember even minor bugs.

Since then, my daughter has played completely through 4 times over the years with no bugs.

I just downloaded VTMB2010, which combines CompMod 1.4, Clan Quest 2.0, and Camarilla Edition 1.3. It requires patch 7+. I have just started in Santa Monica, but had no problems in the tutorial.

I couldn't even make it through the tutorial without encountering bugs.

Everytime I've tried to play this game over the last several years I've quickly given up in frustration.

I'm 99% certain that this was on sale over Xmas.

Sadly that 1% wins out this time.
It did not go on sale this Christmas.

I played the Steam version with the Wesp patches, and it ran just fine.

I'm 99% certain that this was on sale over Xmas.

I remember the Steam version selling for $10 on a weekend deal back in 2008, if I recall correctly.

I remember because I bought it.

Wow, it's really impressive to see how the community is keeping this alive. If I weren't playing Morrowind again, I'd start with Vampire again...

If you haven't played this game you are missing out, one of the better RPGs ever made. The mod community is great, but the original vanilla game, regardless of bugs, is still amazing. Highly recommended.

they should re-release the game with these community patches, and a few extra tweaks.. they'd make a killing.

Similar to the Witcher
