Dude, he said it as clear as he could. Taste vs quality. I have recognized plenty of high quality games, but I prefer not to play them for whatever reason. That doesn't mean I think they're of poor quality however. The good Dr. certainly sprinkled in some opinion about Alan Wake, but it's easy to distinguish his points regarding the quality from his opinion on why he didn't like it.
