I beg to differ. Both the L4D games a new player benefits hugely from having played at least 1 campaign in single player. Otherwise you end up with people who don't know to right click to keep off mobs, or how to turn off flashlight near witch. Valve needs a single player infected trainer campaign too so people can learn how to pounce as a hunter (they walk around trying to scratch). Its that use of the word "any" that gets me thinking of counter examples

The Steam forums have talk of a recent patch which seems to fix a lot of the problems, whatever they were. No idea how many issues are left.
Thanks man. I'll give it a shot for a couple bucks.

Bully was a shamefully bad port, but ultimately playable. The foundation of the game novel and different enough, and the core gameplay and design sound enough, however, to make it STILL worth purchasing for PC (I got it from D2D last year). I hate saying this, but if you have a console and a PC, it's better on a console because of Rockstar's inability to properly port a game to PC. I guess I should be thankful that I got to play it at all, as I have no console, but such shoddy porting jobs is maddening.
What if you just used a 360 controller, would the consolitus be less noticeable you think?

I don't know why Aliens vs. Predator got such a bad rap. I enjoyed it. The multiplayer was a bit wild for me but cool. 5 bucks is a real steal.

I keep wondering about this - but I end up not buying when I read all of the people who loved AVP2 that hate this one...

AVP2 was a classic. If this one is nothing like it, I'm bound to be disappointed.

As with any multiplayer game, playing the single-player portion isn't really going to help you at all. You're better off continuing to practice with multiplayer.

Anyway, thanks for the info on BFBC2.

I played Bully on PS2 and Xbox360 - I guess I prefer to play sandbox games on consoles, so I haven't played it on pc.

It is a really well done game. I enjoyed a couple play throughs.

I guess I should play the first player campaign a bit before I join online? I joined a multiplayer game first and was pretty lost.

I picked up all the just cause 2 DLC. The other day when just cause 2 was on sale I picked it up, but the DLC wasn't on sale then. It is now, about 50% off. Its under $5 for all the DLC which strikes me as reasonable.

Also, I got spore complete at $20. I wasn't about to pay full price for spore, and paying the $20 for a few extra parts never struck me as a good deal. And $30 for the other pack seemed high too. At $20 for all, seems decent, not great, but decent. I'm not very inclined to pay good ole EA full price for any game.

Installed a new 1 TB drive (those things are so cheap nowadays), gonna need it for all these game. Installed BF BC2 from the sale. I guess I should play the first player campaign a bit before I join online? I joined a multiplayer game first and was pretty lost.

From what I've heard, Bully was a terrible port, much like all of Rockstar's ports as of late.

I keep missing the Strong Bad Season 1 sale at TTG. I thought the character was really funny in Poker Night, and laughed at loud at some of the shorts on Youtube.

Has anyone else tried to get the Sam and Max deal on Telltale Games? Both the games info page and the cart show it as full price.

Due to the timing of sales, and when Blue posts, his "on sale" links are sometimes a little out of date. (In Blue's defense, that's a shitload of links to keep track of.)

Toss a post on Telltale's boards. They're pretty quick with answers.

Had to get Clones for $2.50...I loved Lemmings back in the day and Clones is more of that plus it has multiplayer. Also bought the indie flight pack, mix pack and 2d pack. I love christmas shopping...for myself
