Going to try my hand at Demon's Souls today. I am prepared to DIE A TON!
With Demons Souls you get exactly what you put into it. If you go charging off and act recklessly then the game will slaughter you mercilessly. It's also one of the few games where dying actually punishes you by making things more difficult. Not only do the levels reset but in Soul Form you have less HP and deaths in body form turn the world tendency closer to black each time you die which in turn gives monsters more HP and makes them hit harder.
Be cautious and analytical if you want to survive in Demons Souls, it's a very bleak and oppressive world but the gameplay is quite deep and rewarding. It's almost confusing to see it on consoles as it's the type of game that normally would only work on the PC. You might want to do some research online about how to obtain the Purple Flame Shield and the Crescent Falchion, those are the DS newbies best friends. Finally you might want to hang onto boss demons souls as they can be used to make unique weapons and get spells that are otherwise unobtainable.
Good luck man, you'll need it |

| I actually heavily researched Demon's Souls before going in and managed only to die a handful of times. And I almost always played in soul form to avoid fucking up reaching pure white world tendency. |

If anyone here hasn't already got a copy of The Witcher, well, shame on you. But also, now you can get it for 5 bucks so what are you waiting for?
Go to the Steam site immediately and tell them Sauron sent you. |

I like if you click on the store page, it will sometimes list when it was last on sale and for how much. I am not really impressed with much of the sale yet - on top of that - I have alot of the stuff on sale.

I think GamersGate (I don't buy games from them) actually has a better sale and prices at the start of the sale here.... |

| I already own all the good ones on this list & by far The Witcher is the best. Make sure you add the high resolution texture MOD it rocks. I agree though, yes the Steam holiday sale is the big one of the year for sure. =) |

Techie714 © wrote on Dec 21, 2010, 20:28: Meh, today's Steam sale.... lolwut? Witcher's Director's Cut 5 bucks? Aion+Expansion 10 bucks? (monthly sub is 15 so even if you own it that is a good deal) 50 to 80 percent off pretty much all the other titles. If you own the good ones on the list...fair enough...but there is nothing "meh" about that list or those prices. The Christmas sale on Steam is unmatched by anyone at anytime the rest of the year. |
