No New AMD/ATI Catalyst Reference Drivers for XP. |

According to http://www.rage3d.com/articles/catalyst_2011_image_quality_investigation/ ...
"Now, as we move into the second year of the second decade of the third millennium, we have AMD's revamped and reworked driver and hardware interface. Support for Windows XP is dropped, and the new Catalyst Control Center targets Windows 7 users - Vista platforms will need to upgrade to .NET 3.5.1 and Windows Presentation Foundation."
I wonder what happens if an XP user tries to install the suite with this new CCC. |

On 10.12 drivers if I go to a website that lists bunch of youtube videos like: http://wn.com/Hellsau and play them and quickly switch which one is playing one by one eventually I will get a screen flash and warning "Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered." Nothing really happens bad wise, video still plays etc but these warnings are annoying. Now if I switch videos in youtube then its no problems, however, in 10.11 drivers if I do same thing i cannot reproduce this warning. This bothers me. Check other ATI forums, newsgroup, etc. and see if they report the same problem. |

I'm still waiting for good Crossfire support. For one, Crossfire should be supported by every game and it should never, ever, reduce performance. When ATI releases a new application profile that adds support for a game, this "support" should not consist of disabling Crossfire support in said game (Darksiders, I'm looking at you). Finally, Crossfire support for new games should be added to the drivers BEFORE those games are released.
When Crossfire works properly, it's great. Unfortunately, it almost never works properly with new games. I have to either read the forums and create a custom profile, disable Crossfire completely or wait a month for an official application profile from ATI. Considering how expensive Crossfire cards and setups are, it's ridiculous how poorly ATI supports them. |

Not buggy or bloated here so far. I like the new CCC panel because it doesn't display that 3d scene which uses resources.
While game developers are busy patching games so they'll run well when everyone's gaming over the Xmas break, AMD's releasing features that no one's going to use anytime soon. DivX? What year is this? How about give us some Civ 5 performance improvements instead. They are at the stage they are at and we don't see the whole picture. I'm glad for the new features. Oh and they do have their app signature update releases which are separate from the driver releases so check those.

| Taking another run on KotOR and next KotOR TSL with Restored Content atm. WinXP 32, I had to drop back to 7.12 (Omega) to actually stop the graphic tearing. |
