Also announced at the VGAs is Prototype 2, shown off in cinematic form in this Prototype 2 trailer. The clip indicates the plot surrounds further attempts to take down Mercer in the open world action sequel by another soldier who has acquired similar powers. Word is to expect this sometime in 2012.

While I respect the idea that less is more, I don't really agree with it when it comes to superhero games. Superhero games, by their very nature, are about empowering the player. You're supposed to feel superhuman and Prototype did an excellent job of this. In inFamous, you don't really feel very powerful. It's essentially a cover-based shooter, only with electricity instead of guns and grenades. However, I do agree that Prototype's controls weren't as tight as they could have been. I couldn't play the game with M/KB because the game's focus on fancy animation instead of responsiveness made the controls too loose. This was far less noticeable with a gamepad which has inherently imprecise controls anyway. As for inFamous' morality system, I would have been happy if they had left it out completely. I really loathe morality systems. They're so arbitrary and contrived. The notion of getting "good" or "evil" points is just shallow and uninteresting. One might even consider it condescending, as the designers feel it necessary to define our morality for us.
