Prototype 2 Announced

Also announced at the VGAs is Prototype 2, shown off in cinematic form in this Prototype 2 trailer. The clip indicates the plot surrounds further attempts to take down Mercer in the open world action sequel by another soldier who has acquired similar powers. Word is to expect this sometime in 2012.

Odd how different tastes can be. I found that Prototype failed in offering full control over the character, inFamous seemed more smoothly. Next I prefered that inFamous didn't overpower the character. Prototype reminds me of Star Wars Force Unleased II - you are so mighty that your sequence of actions almost don't matter. Yeah, it's nice when the screen is full of action. But my taste is the same here, as in the case of movies: less can be more. What I really loved, in case of inFamous, was to explore the city. Hell, just the prison complex was so impressive. And Prototype? You rush up the walls and fly over the city, details ain't important at all. And exploring wasn't even required in this game, simple farming gave you all the EP you needed. So yes, inFamous' moral system was simple. But so what? It isn't a RPG so that it should necessarily reach the level of Dragon Age, for example. But hey, who am I to tell others which game they should prefer?
