Let's please use some consistent terminology here.
Cheats/Cheating - In-Game "codes" included by the developer. Hacks/Hacking - Modifications/aids added post release by a third party.
Sounds to me like you can cheat in singleplayer and just not get achievements but any sort of hacking in SP* or MP = ban.
*since you need to be connected to bnet to play |

Boo for that meaning they lose all access to the game after 30 days. I don't think it's just MP. They were banning people for cheating in SP too. Yeah I know... I'm still fine with a battle.net ban for that because of the social features, I am just VERY opposed to a battle.net ban meaning you lose the whole game. Cheaters should get whats coming to them. I have the worst opinion of online cheaters in any game (from personal experience) they are usually very fucked up people to begin with and exhibit extreme troll like behaviour.
They should lose ALL access from the game they cheat in permanently! If they can just go out and buy another copy, thats exactly what most of them will do. |

D_K_night you have proof?
I only ask because my friends who play say they can login as the Oceanic Zone or American which they got access to recently but still can't Europe.
From what they told me, you get access to 2 versions of the same game for 2 different regions, which they say means anything you did in your original region doesn't carry across (achievements, titles or whatever).
I hardly called that removed, as you don't get world wide access, only access to one more region at the cost of anything you did in the first couple of months. |

It's like ID banning you for using "idkfa".
Blizzard sure has changed since Activision dug their claws into them. why do you feel the need to cheat in single player? can't handle the game even in the easiest mode? |

No, they're banning people who used hacks in single-player to circumvent the fact that using cheats would not grant them achievements. Honestly, I think they should just be stripped of their achievements and not be allowed to play online or exist on battle.net at all. If they want to hack in single player, I don't care, but Blizzard is entirely within their rights to prevent the outcome of those hacks from appearing on their service.
If you use the built-in cheats it prevents you from gaining achievements during the game you used them but you won't be banned. |
