If your addicted to the game, yea it's usally a bad thing. But over the years i've spent a lot of time in game. I met a lot of cool people and talk with a lot after years, even went and met up with a few in person. If I hadn't been playing wow I'd have just been playing some other single player game and never met these people or had the fond memories of it. Even now I don't do the hardcore raiding I used to, but still log in and chat and have fun exploring the world and things that change. All you people talk about "freeing" yourself from WOW but then go and play other games instead just need to keep it to yourself. Some people know how to moderate their playing of a game to enjoy it and still go do lots of other things.
