Battlefield Announcement Friday

EA's Ben Cousins tweets of plans to announce a new Battlefield game on Friday, saying: "Flying to London later today to show a new, unannounced #Battlefield game to the press. News goes public on Friday. (NOT #BF3)." He follows this up with responses to a couple of questions, first saying "nope, it's a completely new title," and later adding "Just to confirm - I am NOT going to London to announce any game called 'Battlefield Assault'. That is just a URL EA picked up." Thanks Eurogamer.

I think EA should ship the games they've already sold before announcing anything new. I paid for BF 1943 over a year ago and still haven't even seen a (real) release date.

Its not news unless it's about BF3.

Other BF franchises? No one is interested in, at fucking all.

Pass on any Battlefloatiness games here on out. Between floatiness, terrible hit detection and DICE not finishing their games till months after release, I'm going to have to pass.

EA is Proud to announce BF:Thermopylae. Since BF gamers seem to like taking it in the ass from EA we figured a Greek battle would be right up your alley.

I'm just bitching becuase I want to play BF 1943 and it appears it exists...

I grabbed it on xbox live for like 5.00 one day. It is a blast even though it is on console. The maps really have the 1942 feel to it - but it has the Battlefield Heroes look. It is still fun and I enjoy playing it once in a while when nothing else toots my horn.

The maps in 1943 are pretty good remakes of the originals. They have more than 3 flags per map, amazing eh BC2 designers! It feels more like a traditional BF experience than BC2.
