Electronic Arts Forums gave a post from DICE community manager Daniel 'zh1nt0' Matros outlining plans for upcoming changes to the PC edition of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (thanks Ant via Planet Battlefield). He says this is, "just one part of a bigger list of updates that we are going to release very soon. This update will also require server downtime." Here are the changes they are revealing:

Hit registration changes brought over from MOH to BC2; several bugfixes, the client<->server send rates have been increased, some of the hitboxes themselves have been changed. This will increase the accuracy of guns, but will not make much of a difference to the knife.
Removed the blue box behind the chat window.
The 2-second immunity when spawning/being revived can will now be immediately remove either by firing, zooming, or any movement (move, crouch, jump). Merely looking around will not remove the invulnerability. In essence: If a person moves, he is never invulnerable.
3D vision fixed.

Are you seriously stooping to the level of bitching that improved, better hit detection thanks to EA's improvements in that specific area with Medal of Honor is somehow a bad thing?

Well lets see....MoH has no recoil, and therefore, just like CS, it is all headshots and instant kills. (ie. see post 15)

They tried changing the hitboxes on BFBC2 already, and they realized it was a HUGE mistake and changed it back.

What possibly NEW logic would they have for these NEW hitboxes that they didn't already try?

BFBC2 is only meant to be played 1 way - and that is hardcore, which at this moment, without this new "fix" - is just fine.

Now, I doubt it is "improved" hit detection as we have gone around this many many many many times. You see, people dont' like to shoot a gun like this "bup bup bup" as they are intended with recoil and CoF, they want to fire like a console kiddie like this "bupbupbujpbupbupbupbupbupbupbupb reload bupbupbupbupbupbupbupbupbup" which doesn't work in BFBC2 - as it shuoldn't.

So.....the console kiddies are most likely saying (and some idiot pc people were also saying a while back) "whaaaaa I can't hit anything!!! wtf!?!??!?!".

So this "fix" is probably in direct response to those whiners.

Got it? how is that for logic.
