I purposely unsubscribed because I didn't want to hear anything else from this company after their childish little boy who cried wolf stunt but low and behold in my inbox today. At the bottom of the email in tiny print I see:
We're sending this newsletter to all GOG users, even those who unsubscribed from it, as it concerns an update of your GOG.com account. You don't need to unsubscribe from our newsletters again, as we're sending it only this one time. We're going to ignore your preferences and do whatever we want but we won't do it again, we promise. These idiots don't even have enough respect for their userbase to follow simple privacy and contact preferences. Planescape Torment or not, you're on my spam filter now GOG. |

So, basically, if you didn't own the pretty ancient Deadly Games, you're stuck with it, but if you did own it, take your pick of many more much newer, better games. Better?
It's essentially saying, taking the worst view, "here are some year old roses, but if you already have roses here's a kick in the balls." |

Yeah I know, they STILL haven't done anything at all to convince me they mean any of these "apologies." Everything I've seen indicates they are treating it like a huge joke, with essentially contempt for the customers. Like that whole monk thing. The attitude isn't changing, so having people running the site who think and feel and act like that isn't something that makes me want to buy games from them. |

Also, can I trade in my free copy of Jagged Alliance and get IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 instead? Or Icewind Dale?
I'm kidding. Well, maybe. |
