Ships Ahoy - Borderlands GOTY Edition

2K Games and Gearbox Software announce the release of the Borderlands Game of the Year Edition for Windows and Xbox 360. The bundle includes Borderlands, the shooter/RPG, as well as tokens to download the game's four DLC packs, as well as the promised certificate for the Duke Nukem Forever First Access Club, a Super Adventure Club spinoff that "entitles owners to a wealth of ballistic bonuses, including early access to a playable demo of the legendary, long-awaited video game - Duke Nukem Forever." In case it's not clear, Eurogamer quotes Gearbox's Steve Gibson saying the DNF demo will eventually be released for all: "When we put Borderlands out this wasn't even possible to do or contemplate. So that's kind of difficult, but yeah, the demo is coming out for everybody."

Sweet! Confirmed for my account. I bought Borderlands back when it was on sale for $10 on Steam. Then I got the DLC for 2.50 a pop, but I'm waiting for the new one to go on sale now.

If you previously bought Borderlands on Steam, check your CD Keys - you'll have a DNF Beta key already in there

Thanks for the heads up man, I do have the key.
I do not care much for DNF but I will check out the beta for sure!

Jeez, guys. Does every dumbfuck with a Steam account who bought Borderlands really have to expose themselves and flash their inferiority? Whatever happened to showing some respect and decency towards intelligent and superior people like me, myself and I? As a non-amoeba with more than one brain cell and no Steam and no Borderlands I feel unclean in y'allz presence .

*heads off to shower*

I would have bought it for a DRM-free version with all the DLC on a disc, but this is the same disc I already own.

Oh well.

Hmmm no GOTY edition on Steam, yet they changed the release date for the regular version to 10/12. How long has Steam price been $20?

I'm actually sad that DNF is seeing the light of day. What else will there to be made fun of?

Half-Life Black Mesa is my guess.

How long has it been? How many delays? It's quickly becoming the new DNF.
