FOREVER
Moving up to the double M, 2000. I eat up a decade like a flan. Your turn of the century, turn it up, turn it up - clock seconds to the hour, go and cash the millenium. ummm ummm, and it hums like a migraine, to the brain in the time yet remaining.. but, uh, ah, melancholy nonsense... and I crack nouns, brotherfuck the verb tense |

Only because Zardoz has made it so.
TABERNACLE!!!!!!
Go forth, and kill! Hmm, you know I wouldn't have had any idea what the hell you were talking about until I just happened upon Zardoz showing on Fox Movie Channel the other day. I had been curious what your avatar was about...And...
...My god, I want that hour back! At first I was like, 'ok, kinda quirky, but a lot of 70's movies are like this so...' but the more I watched, the more confused I became. After little more than an hour I couldn't watch any more and turned to Secrets of WW2 on Military Channel instead. It was like my brain was turning to a gooey soup until I turned it and then I started feeling...err...human, again...I just went to wikipedia and looked Zardoz up and found that I understood absolutely nothing about the film. Clearly, it's something to watch with some friends, girls and a lot of drugs...
Oh, and as for F1 2010...meh...in typical Codie fashion, they spent more time trying to get the drivers names spelt right and the rain effects to look super real than to make a suitable (read: drivable) AI for us single-player fanatics...
Ok, it's great that this day and age, multiplayer is pretty much status quo and all, but I hate when the development of said feature is detrimental to the rest of the game...

I don't like racing games. I haven't bought or played this game, nor do I plan too. I have nothing to add to this thread.
P.S.
The AI is scripted. |

I think inference is not his sort of word, stick to band wagon, it's simpler and a lot more popular |

I'm sorry that you don't grasp how observations work. The line "Oh but dear God is it ever obvious that the cars ARE following scripted, linear paths." isn't your observations, it's an assumption about the game that your observations have led you to. You claim that this is inherent to the game, actually coded in to it. That's my observation, am I doing it right?
I don't know about Zardoz, but all hail Sean Connery in a Red Thong! |

Oh but dear God is it ever obvious that the cars ARE following scripted, linear paths. In 7 races, I have yet to see a single car deviate off the perfect line. Ever. Even in the rain. In fact, I've seen one car hit and continue to bump the rear end of another car instead of doing the logical thing of overtaking the slower car. So because you say it's so it must be.
Well i've played a fair bit and had plenty, cars spinning off in front, behind, poor moves etc. Seems pretty random and not totally scriipted at all.
Still it's a shame not to jump on the old bandwagon while it's going by eh. |
