Out of the Blue

We caught the first episode of the season for Modern Family last night, and it continues to entertain, offering a mainstream take on Arrested Development-style humor. On a related note, we also enjoyed the debut episode of Running Wilde, the new offering from Arrested creator Mitch Hurwitz starring AD alum Will Arnett. By virtue of being the pilot episode it was a little exposition-heavy, but it looks like a lot of fun too. On a related note, in an interview on the Howard Stern show yesterday, Arnett once again stated that the Arrested Development movie will definitely happen. I'm not sure how this will turn out after all this time, but I'll eagerly give it a shot if it happens.

I find Space Captain's uncivility quite refreshing, not to mention entertaining. At least he seems honest in his comments and remarks, hardly a troll-like quality...not that I condone his actions in any way of course

While Lightoller was a fascinating individual with adventures both before and after the Titanic accident including being shipwrecked and rescued from a deserted island and being considered a standup guy at the inquiry of the disaster - he was in his bunk, not on the bridge, at the time of the accident and this supposed secret sounds more like a device to sell some books. The truth tends to get lost in all the confusion - the death of Captain Smith, what song the band played as the ship went down, I can hardly believe a secret kept by his granddaughter since the 1960s as a smoking gun in the accident.
