Out of the Blue

Well the Giants game didn't turn out as hoped, though maybe that this was expected, as Big Blue has had lots of horrible games on the national stage over the years. Boardwalk Empire, on the other hand, was marvelous, and we're completely hooked for future episodes. Highly recommended.

WOW! That is so very helpful! Thank you for your glorious insight into the question I asked! I can now fully understand everything.

That's either bad advice or he's being sarcastic.

I played Morrowind for like 300 hours and never beat it. Didn't even care to. Never beat Fallout 3 either. Oblivion got boring really quick with it's scaling and I never managed to get back into it once the good mods were out.

edit: Oh your actual question... Turn all the DLC on and discover them naturally.

So - I am not THAT FAR in the actual story line, but I have all the DLC - should I be using all the DLC while I play? Or do them independently? How are the rest of you doing it? I haven't turned any of them on yet.

What is the best way to play?

As tempting as it is you should really stay away from freeway overpasses.

hehehe pretty much.

Although I am also dealing with random lockups of the game....frustrating. The game stops responding and just freezes. I have learned to save a lot more frequently....

And after 30 hours of play - I thought I had made a dent in the story arc - NOT EVEN CLOSE! I have been enjoying the side quests far to much and am actually only on about "Mission 3" if you were to not count the kid ones. Crazy.

ABC also cancelled "Defying Gravity" which is a show I REALLY liked a lot.

I don't know man, I really wanted to like that show but they tried way too hard with the Grey's Anatomy in Space bullshit drama. I guess I wanted more sci-fi and the sci-fi in that show took a back seat to some very poorly written drama in my opinion.

The last couple of unaired episodes actually did go forward with the sci fi element. It made me very angry when the last aired episoded climaxed with them about to learn the the fsck was going on... and then ABC decided not to air anymore. At least once they came out on DVD I bought the missing eps on iTunes (since I refuse to download from torrents).

But yeh, they did try too hard with the the whole Grey's Anatomy IN SPACE (hear Pigs IN SPACE) with a little Lost thrown in for good measure. But I was able to look past it and focus on the parts I liked.

The Event? Sounds like alien invasion to me. It'll suck.

What won't suck is getting Civ5 tomorrow. Man I'm stoked!

I actually enjoyed Flash Forward. I don't think it was "OMGTHEBESTSHOWEVER" but it was pretty good.

The premise was decent. They threw a few curve balls. And Lost's "Charlie" played a great character on the show, and got to stretch his acting chops a little.

That being said I'm not surprised it was canceled. ABC also cancelled "Defying Gravity" which is a show I REALLY liked a lot.

I'm looking forward to "The Event" if for no other reason than it has me curious. Between the tears and "making of" clips I have a general idea of what's going on in the premiere, but I imagine it's going to be one of those "you'll find out next season" type of scenarios.

I shaking my head at the "Chuck" commercial about it, Morgan asks "What is the Event" and Chuck flashes and says "it's awesome." BOOOOO The Lost line in the early Chuck episode was funny, but this was lame.

Either of you guys watch it? Just curious to hear opinions, a lot of people on TWP are raving about it.

Oh and The Event premieres tonight for anyone looking at a potential Lost replacement, one that hopefully won't become the shitfest that FlashForward did.

A prohibition era show starring Steve Buscemi on HBO. I know Martin Scorcese was involved at one point, not sure if he still is or not though.

According to the Wiki, he only directed the first episode, but remains an executive producer.

Edit: Too slow!

He is an executive producer, and directed last night's episode. Dunno if he'll direct any or all episodes in the future, though I imagine Buscemi wants to direct some of them too.
