Out of the Blue

This was one of the hottest summers in history around these parts, with numerous heat waves and no particular relief between them. The weird thing is that summer is still underway according to the calendar, but it seems like the unofficial end of summer represented by Labor Day was a pretty accurate cut-off, as it's been pretty cool ever since, with the last couple of nights being positively chilly. I hope this doesn't mean we should expect an extra-cold winter to follow the sweltering summer, as that just wouldn't seem fair.

Didn't you buy a new monitor?

Yup, but before I knew mine was still under warranty - which is fine - as my new one is 10x better anyway. So I can setup my refurb on a diff pc in the house.

Holy smokes! I called Samsung cause their website is borked - and they said my monitor was fixed the same day it was received and I should have it back on Monday! Wow. That is pretty impressive.

I'd like a nice snowy Xmas anyway. It's just the January to April stretch that sucks.

Seconded. I think my cat is happy the temperature dropped though - he's a longhair and spent all summer stretched out on the coolest tile floors in the house. Now it's less hot he's much more lively.

I loved the heat. It was a few years since I had a good summer like this one. However, following every hot summer is a brutal winter. I'm thinking we'll start seeing snow in October. So long as it's nice for Halloween, that's my main concern. I'd like a nice snowy Xmas anyway. It's just the January to April stretch that sucks.

Glad somebody is getting some cooler weather. We are still in the 90's with no relief in sight.
