Steam News announces the release of a new Steam client, which will update automatically the next time you log into Valve's digital delivery service. In addition to a couple of bug fixes and other improvements, the new version adds support to offer automatic AMD/ATI graphics driver updates through the service. We've yet to receive a response from Valve to our question of whether similar support is planned for NVIDIA products. The full patch notes follow.
- Added support to update AMD/ATI video drivers
- Bug fixes in JPEG decoding of images with embedded EXIF profiles
- Crash fix in voice chat
- SteamService uninstall improvements
- Improved in-game overlay compatibility with some third-party software
- Improved in-game overlay browser forward/back navigation

I rest my case. They cant even patch a patch.
If you had actually read the thread, you would understand why they have to hotfix things due to WHQL certification times. I'd rather get a hotfix when I have an issue instead of waiting another month for it to be solved due to WHQL testing. And god forbid the company be inhabited by human beings and *gasp*, make a mistake! Nvidia has never done that either right? Whoops. |
