Out of the Blue

This is a historical date in science-fiction history, as September 13, 1999 was the date given for the explosion that sparked the storyline in Space 1999. Here's a bit of crossover Space 1999 trivia: One episode featured Ian McShane, aka Deadwood's Al Swearengen.

I wonder how many times Kirk had the space-clap. You'd think there'd be some seriously nasty space-STDs out there that would prevent guys like him and Riker from being total space-sluts. At least Jean-Luc could keep it tucked back.

"I decided to go smaller -- a lot smaller. I just want a normal size like a normal housewife has," she said.

let me guess. she is going down to a DD.

"I know it's going to be a lot of pain on me because I love to have them, but I realize that my family comes first and I love my daughter and son and they come first."

she will finally be able to see her two children instead of the twins when she stands up.

Also, xkcd rules! It's official.

I just don't find them funny....

They're very hit and miss, but when they hit, they get it just right:

The one prior to the one Blue linked is more humorous IMO.

Here is a link in case you do not feel like going to that one and hitting the back button:

They are hit or miss like all non-contiguous entertainment. Some are better than others. Not to mention that this type of humor might just not be your bag.

I have two recollections of Space 1999.
(1) Lots of Doors exploding causing decompression.
(2) Martin Landau never once smiling, he walked around like a constipated undertaker the whole time.
Oh & thinking 1999 thats waaaay to far in the future.

Ian McShane was great in a BBC series called Lovejoy. It was about a shady antiques dealer, and he played the shady dealer (naturally).

It ran for about 5 or 6 seasons - see it if you can!

Here's what I think is the best TOS clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYkUwfS3Sr0. Even in context its still a pimp move.
