The interviewer tried to press David Adams to reveal if you'd need to manually aim, but he remained tight liped. Saying things like "it's just different" and "you'll see when you play it".
So, the fishing by the interviewer didn't really come to much, and you can't take any of it as a confirmation that you'll need to aim or have "twitch skills". |

We caught up with David to discuss the engine powering the game, system requirements, and how twitch skills will help in a combat system filled with high-tech weapons. Wait wait wait, twitch skills? The last game I remember that used twitch skills, or claimed to, was Tabula Rasa. Please don't try and make this a fps type game. Just keep it simple as far as combat mechanics go, you select a target, you press attack, animation happens, server calculates damage, little number above their head, repeat. It doesn't need to be a lot different from how many fantasy mmorpg's are, you're got melee weapons galore in this game, spells would be ranged weapons instead, you don't need to reinvent the wheel and make it feel like a FPS. I don't know anyone who wants to pay a monthly fee for a FPS. Did you see Hellgate london? APB? Please do not fuck this up. |

Might as well call this Warhammer 40K The Cartoon Online.
The 40k universe is one of the most vicious and brutal I've seen after reading a good 50 of the novels, this game's art direction is a joke. |
