Yeah, apart from the terrible respawns, I hated how everyone in the FC2 world seemed to immediately hate your guts, even if you were far enough away to still be a spec in the distance.
How do they know you're not on their side, or at least a neutral party?
Most of the inhabitants should be hostile, but not so much that they instantly shoot at you.
Something along the lines of them asking for a bribe or trying to rob you at gunpoint when you approach them would be leagues better.
Then, you as the player are able to make the decision to engage... which I'm sure everyone would do
