Word. A demo as an incentive to buy hbardware? That's the craziest thing I've seen in a while. With my last 2 videocard purchases, I got Arkham Asylum and Resident Evil 5 for free. This deal sucks monkey ass by comparison. |

| It's no worse than Nvidia's other bullshit to be honest. Their total misuse of PhysX, years of buying up splash screens, paying developers to disable features for competitors and so on. I mean I think its lame too but honestly, how it is worse than any of that? |

| In my opinion, nVidia has stooped quite low with this type of promotion. Anyone who thinks there is "value" in this specific marketing pitch is too stupid and undeserving to participate as a true PC gamer. I think this is one of the worst promos I have ever witnessed in the sixteen years I have been buying and playing computer games. |

Offering a trial of this game with a video card is a good way to not sell your video card... I think there was a link to this on fatwallet.com but it said SC2 with purchase of video card and I'm was like, hmmm, well I am not against buying a video card, and getting that game free doesn't seem too bad...but then the linked product made clear it was a trial....who the fuck wants a trial included with a video card?!
Someone will offer this game with a video card at some point. |

The last free game I got with an Nvidia card was with the Evga 275gtx. When I registered it at there site I got a copy of Cryostasis for free. That was not an Nvidia promo it was Evga's. I think I played it for a whopping 15min and stored it on a hard drive. I still have UT99 that I got with my Voodoo3 back in the days when they gave away real games with cards. I also remember walking in the snow to school both ways up hill ... wow I must be old  |

Last week I noticed Newegg offering SC2 trial codes w/ select Geforce cards and though it was a promo run by them. Now I know it's nVidia offering the deal.

This depresses me. I went to check out an indie game on steam today and there was no demo. I am now expected to even buy indie games based on screenshots?
Why am I supposed to be PLEASED to get 'the chance' to geta demo?
Demos are free marketing. You should do EVERYTHING you can to get people to try your demo.
