I'd like to see a spin off of this game that puts you in control of the weapons of one of the ships. Like you'd be the fire control officer on the ship and the game would basically be you firing on several other ships, smaller scale than the first game, you'd still design your one ship and face off against 1 other maybe?
Something that would make this combat work on an iphone or droid. If you wanted to go crazy you could use the motion controls to aim a cross hair on the enemy ship and a button or something to trigger the weapons.
You could model in damage on each part of the ships with the ability to destroy and seperate entire parts of the ships. You could include maybe 5 total ships to create and fight against then keep adding more as DLC in future content packs.
I'm imagining something akin to the combat in star trek 2, up close brutal attacks that cripple the other ships, or you get crippled, etc.
Gratuitous space battles hits a lot of the right notes but I really want to be at the controls of one of the ships and see another ship falling to peices. |
