there was no comparison. on its own, the game was garbage imo
i mentioned it because it was the only other asian martial arts based rpg i could think of

Total War isn't an RTS.
It's turn based with a time-scalable tactical battles.
Not picking nits - these have as much in common with Civ games than they do with RTS games.
I'm pretty happy they're redoing Shogun - I played the heck out of the original, loved TW:Rome, and have just dabbled with Medieval II (so far very good).

This. It's surprising how few western developers have tried making games set in a realistic feudal Japan. An open-world Tenchu game with better gameplay mechanics and AI would be awesome. |
