| The thing is that Apple has created high-quality, easily accessible products for years. So the expectations are high for them. This problem with the antenna is quite minor when compared to the shit problems that other products have that people still use every day. It's just that people like to bash things that are good. I suppose it's human nature. |

Well, naturally they're a publicly traded company, no surprises there.
I don't doubt however, the low return rates. You have to admit, Apple has an unusually loyal customer base. The last time I checked Craigslist, I was amazed how many 3G's were for sale. So many people more then happy to pony up for the latest and greatest, even though there's nothing wrong with their 'old' one.

The return rate on the iPhone4 is apparently only 1.7%. So despite the entire 'AntennaGate' issue, most everyone seems to love it.
I don't own any apple products, as I've stated many times I don't understand them. Heck, my phone just makes phone calls. I suppose I'm simply not the target demographic.
I can still respect Apple for what they have been able to achieve, but why did Jobs have to go out of his way to try and demonstrate that 'other' phones have issues also? Just offer everyone a free pouch, and be done with it.
I must be getting old or something.... |
