You guys won't be saying that when tons of triple A titles are exclusive to this service.
...or we could just buy the AAA games, like we already do. This service is insane. You pay a monthly fee for it and you pay full retail for the games. If you have a gaming PC you just buy the games there. If you aren't computer savvy, you just buy a console and play the games there. Almost their entire library of games are available on console.
High end PC exclusives are rather rare these days. A quick glance of their "featured games" and every single game is a console game. Plus you can probably buy them all much cheaper on console if you shop smart. They are streaming PC versions of console games and their goal looks like they want to have a console unit. Why not cut out the middle man and buy a console?

Sure it will. There are billion dollar companies like AT&T, EA, Ubisoft, and most of the other major game publishers backing this thing. It will succeed in spite of itself because they will keep it afloat until it does. The win for them for this becoming THE platform for video game development and delivery is simply too great. All this service needs are some big exclusives. When that happens, it will eventually be game over for gaming as we know it now.
This is a somewhat obscure service, why would you cut out the lucrative console market to make your game online exclusive? You risk potentially killing your AAA blockbuster. Its much easier to just make your money via DLC on the consoles. If you want a digital only, no used copy service, both Xbox 360 and PS3 have something like that.
