damn you ubi!!!!! I love the Driver games. I have fonud them to be highly entertaining and the physics and driving was ahead of a lot of games at the time of it's original release. Drifting, jumping, car physics, was almost unheard of in other driving games. I still have all of the games and load up the ps2 stuff to do the crazy cop chases.
There is a lot of ideas and Driver type gameplay in a lot of games today. A lot of games took from it.
UBI? Damn. Rental or purchase on sale on console at best. |

| GTA4 set the bar pretty high. the last Driv3r was console crap, so they have a lot of work ahead... Almost forgot. Horrific DRM. Luckily, it will get 'shifted' from the game, much to the chagrin of UBI. |

Ubisoft been fucking everything up lately, so we shall see. Their press conference was pretty stupid. In the end I wondered why they even bothered having a press conference. They don't have anything big to show in my opinion, they should have stuck with basic booth's and gameplay clips.
Future warrior appears to be their biggest title but it looked stupid. Who wants to walk around invisible like that, that didn't look fun. I was bored just watching it. I hope they didn't build a whole game around walking up to people and shooting them while invisible.... |

The original was fun for what it was, and yes SF is probably the best locale to do a driving game. |

| I've only played the first Driver and the only thing I would do is startup some sort of "scramble" mode where you are instantly being chased by 10 cops or so. Then I would proceed to drive down those steep San Francisco hills and watch above me as cop cars soared over my head in amazing crashes. |

The irony that DRM would be stuck on a game which revolved around stealing vehicles and causing mayhem.
Oh wait, it's not stealing, it's 'shifting'... |
