Perpetuum Online Interview

The Perpetuum Online interview on Rock, Paper, Shotgun talks with Szelei Kis Gergely of Avatar Creations, the Hungarian developer of Perpetuum Online, a sandbox MMOG featuring giant robots. They discuss the game's sandbox nature, how the closed beta is progressing, comparisons with EVE Online, operating on a single shard, and some PvP details.

According to the interview, this company has (about)10 employees total working on the game.

Although I hate MMOs by default, I wish them luck, if they have even gotten to a beta stage for game theoretically that big(MMO size) when every other MMO team has hundreds of members.

Somehow I suspect the quality will reflect the size of the team though.

I'm really surprised that CCP (Eve Online) has not sued and shut this game down. Most of the art is stolen directly from Eve, hell the whole game is basically Eve on the ground.

If it makes it to release though, it may be interesting.. but same idea as Eve, semi boring sandbox.
