Planet Battlefield has some details on changes in an upcoming patch for the PC edition of
Battlefield: Bad Company 2, DICE's military shooter sequel. Some of this comes from a future build of the game that a Russian blog got their hands on, with DICE's Barrie Tingle confirming the bona fides of some of what they learned. This includes plans for an exclusive infantry mode for the PC, the implication a new map is coming, and a new chat mode. Finally, the developer also known as Bazajaytee mentions one further addition: "Good guess :) The SPECACT will be patched into the PC version and made available on EA Store to unlock it." Thanks

I really have only 3 complaints about this game,
1) netcode is terrible, the errors these patches fix are indicative of how rushed to release the game was. This game has a bunch of bugs that are pretty insulting to PC gamers.
That being said I still love it.
2) I have no problem being hit about a rocket launchers or grenade launchers, it happens. What I have a problem with is players using them as shotguns in close range, make a minimum distance to arm for all these weapons like 30 feet or something. That would probably enforce proper use of these weapons.
3) Snipers have their place, they can be a valuable asset, but I agree, its pretty frustrating when your entire team is sitting in spawn sniping with their high powered rifles- completely avoiding the objective. I dont have a solution for this- I just hate these guys. |
