| JC2 sold about a million units. That's pretty good, though it seems a lot of big publishers these days are disappointed when game sells "only" a million units. |

| Didn't they publish Just Cause 2 as well? That game seemed to do well. |

Different people like different games. More on this shocking development at 11.
As for it being Final Fantasy (you may already know this) the company was likely going to go under when the first one was being developed. Hence the name. It was a success and kept them going. They in turn kept the name.
Also SE doesn't just do RPGs. They published (may have had more involvement, I don't remember) in SupCom 2 for example. Yes, of course. I'm just mourning about the better games that have gone unplayed and their companies defunct because they didn't sell when tripe like this does.
FFXIII sales have got to make up the majority of those posted profits, yeah? |

It's enough to make anyone do this Well, technically, up until Final Fantasy X, each game was the final fantasy for that particular set of characters in that particular game world. At least from what I remember. Final Fantasy X2 was the first true sequel, followed by Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core, which was a prequel. |

| I did not know Square Enix was a merger between Square and Enix. You can't make this stuff up, people. |
