| JC2 sold about a million units. That's pretty good, though it seems a lot of big publishers these days are disappointed when game sells "only" a million units. |

Yes, of course. I'm just mourning about the better games that have gone unplayed and their companies defunct because they didn't sell when tripe like this does.
FFXIII sales have got to make up the majority of those posted profits, yeah? |

Well, technically, up until Final Fantasy X, each game was the final fantasy for that particular set of characters in that particular game world. At least from what I remember.
Final Fantasy X2 was the first true sequel, followed by Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core, which was a prequel. |
