R.I.P.: Metal rocker Ronnie James Dio dies. The rumor from yesterday was confirmed shortly after the denial was posted here yesterday, which turns out to have been a black Sabbath for metal fans.

The real question is, how the fuck did Dio die before Keith Richards and Ozzy? Proof that sex, drugs, rock and roll can extend your life! I was thinking the same thing when I had heard about RJD dying. Proof that it's all about the genes baby. Seriously, Dio was a total class act, smart, humble, and did it all for the fans to the very end. And yeah, the news of Dio's passing hit me hard too as I was a huge fan. Though he was 67 and achieved sooo much in his career, he really did (as immortalized in the Sabbath song) "die young" as he really wanted to keep going and rock out for another decade.
