The Stimulus Package map pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is being supported by a £1 million advertising campaign, reports MCV, which helps explain the steep price tag for the DLC. They quote Activision marketing director for UK and Ireland David Tyler on the DLC, but not the price: "We are excited about the content of the Stimulus Package and our gamers are going to be blown away by the new maps." On a semi-related note, VentureBeat has a story about the marketing effort behind the original game (thanks Joker961), though no dollar figures for the game's initial marketing budget are supplied.
