BlizzCon 2010 Announced

Blizzard announces BlizzCon 2010, saying this year's installment in the Blizzard-specific gaming convention will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA on Friday, October 22 and Saturday, October 23, 2010. Pricing details and when tickets will go on sale will be revealed soon, which will be key for prospective attendees, since the show annually sells out almost instantly. "BlizzCon offers us a great opportunity to meet with our players and share our enthusiasm for gaming with one of the most passionate communities in the world," said Mike Morhaime, CEO of Blizzard Entertainment. "We’re looking forward to providing another great show filled with entertainment, competition, and the latest information about Blizzard Entertainment games."

They oversold the venue last year which made it suck if you wanted to actually do anything there (too many people = no seats for a lot of panels and really long waits for anything). Maybe they'll learn from it and actually sell a realistic number of tickets or make provisions for the size of the crowd this time around.

Speaking of Blizzard games, I have an extra Starcraft 2 beta key if anyone wants it, Blizzard apparently emailed me one and most of my friends are already in.

Expansion seems too early...I'm sure they'd like to, but this is Blizz time we're talking about.

MMO, I'd say a halfway decent chance of that, esp if Cat has shipped by then (which is looking more and more unlikely).

I'm sure they'll show Diablo 3, but I doubt they'll set a date on it...
