Stardock announces the launch of ImpulseTV, a new feature of their Impulse platform. Here's word: "Hosted by Jason Ocampo, formerly of IGN and GameSpot, and Brian Clair, formerly of Avault.com, ImpulseTV is designed to let people see games and software as they really are in order to get a better idea of whether they want to buy it or even try out the software. ImpulseTV features hands-on walk-throughs, game tutorials and tips, spotlights and demos on AAA and indie games alike, unbiased and outspoken expert commentary and more."

Frijoles

Okay, I updated Impulse and had a look. I watched the Bob Came in Pieces one. Few things: 1) They need to do a play through BEFORE they start recording. It's nice that they show the learning process, but it's also frustrating to watch them screw up over and over while they try to learn how to play the game. Perhaps skip the tutorial and go to the game. 2) The "more info" button should open in a browser, not in the same window. I wasn't finished watching it and wanted to see the price. Clicking "more info" closed the video. 3) Put the price on the screen while watching. Or something on the side that slides out with info. That'd be cool. Overall I like what I see, and to be honest, I want to buy that game now. It will be interesting as they get more games on it. I don't see much different from other video review sites, though, other than it's easy to buy it. MUCH better than Youtube reviews. No shitty music that the person playing felt like pimping.
